y = x³ - 2x + 2

 

y' = 3x² - 2

 

Slope of tangent = 3(3)² - 2 = 25

 

Equation of tangent line:  y - 23 = 25(x - 3)

 

                                     y - 23 = 25x - 75

 

                                            y = 25x - 52

y' = 3x^2 - 2

 

The slope is 3(3)^2 - 3 = 27-3 = 24

 

the intercept is 23 - 24(3) = 23 - 72 = -49

 

The tangent line is y = 24x - 49
