In all of the math classes I have taken, range typically references the y values and domain references the x values. Also g(x) is the y value
Therefore:
a)find range(y) value when domain(x) = -2
y = -(-2) + 3 Substitute -2 in for x
y = 2 + 3 Multiply -2 by -1
y = 5 Add 2 + 3
b) find domain(x) value when the range(y) value = 0
(0) = -x + 3 Substitute 0 in for g(x) or y
-3 = -x Subtract 3 from both sides
x = 3 Divide both sides by -1
