A = 3B -16 A=one angle, B= the other

Usually this type of question has some more information, such as the two angles are complementary, then you'd have a 2nd equation A+B=90 or A=90-B
then 3B-16 = 90-B
4B = 106
B= 106/4 = 26.5 degrees
A = 63.5 degrees
63.5 = 3(26.5) - 16
= 79.5 -16
=63.5
