Hi Kate,
x y Let polynomial function, f(x) = y= ax + b
0 2 substitute the value of x=0 & y=2, we get, 2= b
2 3 substitute the value of x=2 & y=3, we get 3= 2a+ b
4 4 3= 2a +2
6 5 3-2 =2a
8 6 1/2 = a
so polynomial function: y = 1/2 x +2
2y = x+4
Check:If x=4, 2y = 4+4= 8, y = 4, it satisfies.
If x=6, y =3+2= 5, it satisfies.
If x= 8, y= 4+2=6, it satisfies.
