53% of the weight of a concrete slab is cement while the rest is stone ad sand .If there is 2kg 160 gram more cement than stone and sand in the concrete slab, how much does the slab weigh?

weight of stone and sand = x

weight of cement = x +2160

 

so weight of concrete slab = x+x+2160= 2x+2160

 

53 % of 2x+ 2160 is x+2160

 

using percent equation

 

(x+2160) /(2x+2160) = 53/100

 

100(x+2160) =53(2x+2160)

 

100 x + 216000 =  106 x + 114480

 

101520 = 6x

 

16920 = x

 

So

 

weight of stone and sand = x = 16920 gm
weight of cement = x +2160 = 16920 + 2160 =19080

total weight of slab = 19080 + 16920 = 36000 gm = 36 kg
