A rectangular box with height 4 meters has a volume of 576 cubic meters and a square base. Find the dimensions of the box

height of box = 4 m

as it has square base

it's width and length is equal :x

 

volume of rectangular box = length * width * height

                             576   = x *x * 4

 

                             576 = 4x² 

                             144 = x² 

                              12 = x

so length of box = 12 m

     width of box =  12m

   height of box = 4 m
