A garden has an area of 105 square feet. The width of the gard is 8 feet less than the length  What is the width of the garden?

Answer 1

A = l x w; w + 8 = l

 

105 = (w + 8)(w)

 

105 = w^2 + 8w

 

w^2 + 8w - 105 = 0
