I need to simplify this but I just can't find my way out of it.

cos2x(tanx + 1)2 - 1
= cos2x(tan2x + 2tanx + 1) - 1
= cos2x(sec2x + 2tanx) - 1
= 1 + 2cos2xtanx - 1
= 2cos2x(sinx / cosx) = 2sinxcosx = sin(2x)
