The purpose of a CT scan would be to see the inside of the body and it can be done on different parts of the body besides the brain. The scan can show organs, bones, and tissues (though to see tissues, the doctor may need to insert a contrast dye into the client)
Reasons why a CT scan may be done:
to locate a complex fracture
tumors
bleeding
to be used as a guide for treatments
