It would be better if you use parhentheses to make the expressions more clear. For example r(t)=600t/t+3. I assume that is should be r(t)=600t/(t+3).

12000-∫

_{0}^{A}r(t)dt=9000, (1)r(t)= {600t/(t+3), 0≤t≤5,

{t, t>5

∫

_{0}^{A}r(t)dt=∫_{0}^{5}r(t)dt+∫_{5}^{A}r(t)dt=600∫_{0}^{5}t/(t+3)dt+∫_{5}^{A}tdt==600(∫

_{0}^{5}(1-3/(t+3)dt+A^{2}/2-25/2=600(5-3ln(8/3))-25/2+A

^{2}/2. Plug in this into (1) and solve for A.Humayd M.

Where do I plug it into? And is the answer 21.13?

Plug in into eq (1)

12000-∫

_{0}^{A}r(t)dt=9000, (1)First check if you have written everything correctly, then check my work.

I didn't calculate A. I just gave you direction how to find it. If everything is correct, then you should obtain the answer you have.

I don't know how to calculate A since it is a variable. Im am allowed to use a calculator for this question.
