Hannah can paint a room in 6 hours. Destiny can paint the same room in 10 hours. How long does it take for both Hannah and Destiny to paint the room it they are working together.

Hannah paints 1/6 of the room per hour.

Destiny paints 1/10 of the room per hour.

 

1/6 + 1/10 = 16/60 = 8/30 = 4/15

Working together, they paint 4/15 of the room per hour.

 

It will take them 15/4 hr = 3 and 3/4 hours = 3 hours and 45 minutes
