As Mark M. said, there are infinite possible combinations of numbers that multiply to 3.1
Divide 3.1 by any number to find a combination:
3.1/2 = 1.55 so 2(1.55) = 3.1
3.1/4 = 0.775 so 4(0.775) = 3.1
3.1/8 = 0.3875 so 8(0.3875) = 3.1
3.1/(-2) = -1.55 so (-2)(-1.55) = 3.1
and so forth. You can do this forever
