The area of rectangle ring boxing 90 centimeter Square the border around the ring boxes 38 CM what's the length and width of the Ring box

Perimeter is 38 while the area is 90.

 

  2L+ 2w = 38 ---> L+w = 19

                           w = 19 - L

 

Area = l * w

 90 = L*(19-L)

90 = 19L - l^2

 L^2 - 19L + 90 = 0

(L    -    10 )(L  -     9  ) = 0

L-10 = 0  or L-9 = 0

 

The length is 10, the width is 9
