Slope intercept form looks like this: y=mx +b (or y= #x + #)
m is the slope and b is the y intercept (the number that x equals when y equals zero)
If the slope is 2, the equation is going to be y=2x + b, so we still need to find b.
If we know that the point (4,1) is on the line, where x=4 and y=1, we can plug those numbers into the equation to find b.
1= 2(4) + b (so, 1= 2x4 + some number)
You'll need to then solve for b and fill in the rest of the equation.
