The first thing to remember is to do the opposite operation, and do it to both sides.

 

You need the y by itself on the left and you have a -x with it, so add x to both sides.

 

-x + y + x = 2 + x

There's no m, but x = 1x; we just don't write it that way, so m = 1 and b = 2.
