The difference between successive terms is 1.5:
8 - 1.5 = 6.5
6.5 - 1.5 = 5
5 - 1.5 = 3.5
3.5 - 1.5 = ___
Do the same for the next term
The general form of the sequence is:
8 - (1.5)(n-1), n = 1, 2, 3, ...
