The product of 2 numbers is 40. If one of the numbers is 8/9 what is the other number

im not sure what to do or even how to start this problem it’s a littl driffeent from what I have been doing

let the first number be x

let the second number be y

The product of both = x.y = 40

if one of the numbers is 8/9, so either x or y is 8/9

In this case let us say x=8/9

Therefore 8/9 * y = 40

y= 40 x 9/8 = 45

The other number y is 45

(8/9)x = 40
