since f is cts ⇒ lim x→1+ (f(x)) =lim x→1- (f(x)) =f(1)
f(1) =a + b
lim x→1- (f(x))=2
⇒ a+ b = 2
also
since f is cts ⇒ lim x→2+ (f(x)) =lim x→2- (f(x)) =f(2)
f(2) =0
and lim x→2- (f(x))= 4a + 2b
⇒ 4a + 2b = 0
so with the 2 eq a+ b = 2
and 4a + 2b= 0
⇒b = 4 and a = -2
