2 cos theta+3= -sec theta

i need help with my math problems for homework because they were not taught to me.

you were taught that sec function is reciprocal of cosine, though.

 

2cos θ + 3 = -1/cos θ

 

Let u = cos θ; then solve the above equation, which is quadratic in u.

 

Then go back to u = cos θ and figure out what  θ is.
