y - y₁ = m(x - x₁)                         Point-slope formula

y - 35 = 11/8(x - 24)                    Substitution

y - 35 = (11/8)x - (11/8)*24         Distribute the 11/8

y - 35 = (11/8)x - 33                    Simplify

y - 35 + 35 = (11/8)x - 33 + 35      Add 35 to each side

y = (11/8)x + 2                             Simplify
