A student missed 34 problems on a test and received a grade of 6% if all the problems were of equal value how many problems were on the test?

(x-34)/x = 0.06 where x is the number of questions.  Solve this proportion! (ratio # right to # questions = 6%)

 

x is about 36.  In fact, student got 34/36 wrong = 5.56% and his 6% is a rounded up answer!

So 94% of the problems are incorrect because the grade is 6%.
