You need to substitute the 3x - 5 for the y in the equation y= -6x +4, then solve for x.
3x -5 = -6x + 4
9x =9
X = 1
Now, substitute the 1 for the x in either equation.
Y = 3 (1) - 5
Y = 3 - 5
Y = -2
The solution is (1, - 2)
