i am not sure if i got the right answer the answer i got was 2 1/5 but i feel i did something wrong

You take "this volume" and multiply it by 1.5.  So, if "this volume" is 1 ml, she needs 1.5 ml.  If "this volume" is 10 ml, she needs 15 ml, etc.

You multiply it by 3/2.

 

Since you claim the answer is 2 and 1/5, then we can find the original mass by DIVIDING:

 

  2 and 1/5 divided by 3/2 =  11/5  divided by 3/2 = 11/5 * 2/3 = 55/15 = 11/3 = 3 and 2/3

 

So if 3 and 2/3 was the original mass, then you are correct.

Otherwise you are not.
