In general, Slope Intercept form is y = mx + b. However, a vertical line has an undefined slope . They also do not have a y-intercept, because they run parallel to the y axis.
Therefore, the general formula for a vertical line is x = x1. Since we were given the point (2, -6), the equation of the line would be x = 2.
