Calculate the impulse (I) imparted to the ball.
I = mΔv = m(v2 - v1)
m = mass of ball = 0.145 kg
Assuming toward the bat is the positive direction and away from the bat is the negative direction,
v1 = 90 mph
v2 = -160 mph
v2 - v1 = (-160 - 90) mph
I suggest you convert mph to m/s, which you should know how to do. I did a conversion like this in a similar problem that you posted.
F = force
F = I/t = m(v2 - v1)/t
t = 0.7 x 10-3 s
A negative force means the force is opposite to the direction of motion of the ball. If you just want the magnitude of the force, take the absolute value of F. You should be able to finish from here. Be careful with the units.
