Let f(x) = 3 √x. Then f'(x) = (1/3)x-2/3
Let a = 1000 f(a) = 3 √a = 10
f(x) ≈ L(x) = f(a) + f'(a)(x-a)
So, 3 √1001 = f(1001) ≈ L(1001) = f(1000) + f'(1000)(1001-1000)
≈ 10 + (1/3)(1000)-2/3(1)
= 10 + 1/300
= 10.003333333
