We can set up equations from the information given:
Let M = Miko's money
Let A = Anisa's money
Miko & Anisa had same amount:
M = A
After Miko lent $31 to Anisa, Anisa had 3 times as much as Miko:
A + 31 = 3(M-31)
Since A = M we can replace A with M in 2nd equation and solve for M
M + 31 = 3M - 93
2M = 124
M = 62
Both initially had $62
In the end, Miko had $31 and Anisa had $93
