Since s=36 and t=2, plug those values into the expression:
(s-12)/t2
(36-12)/22
The order of operations (PEMDAS) says to do the operations within the parentheses first:
(36-12)/22 = 24/22
Do the exponent next:
24/22 = 24/4
Do the division last:
24/4 = 6
