What is the next number in series?

1^2 = 1

2^3 = 8

4^4 = 256

 

Looking vertically, we can see that 1,1,2,4 follows a pattern (adds up all prior numbers to become the next number), so the next number in this pattern is going to be 8. We can also see that in the next column, 1,2,3,4 follows a pattern and that the next number will be 5. Based on this, our solution would be 8^5, or 32,768. This is another way to get to the same answer that another tutor gave, so methinks this is probably the right answer.

2^8.    & 2^3.        power difference is  5

 

So the next power difference is 7

 

So 2^15

=  32768

 

So the next term is 32768

There are often different interpretations for what a sequence Might be unless it is obvious.

For this I guess you have some kind of binary thing going on.

I see  1,  2^0,  2^3,  2^8

But not sure where to go next.

Maybe someone else sees it of something different.
