the domain is all real numbers.  there is nothing you can't put in for x.

is it 4^x-6 or 4^x - 6?  If it's the first one, the range is all numbers greater than 0, because that's the asymptote for any exponential function with a positive base.  If it's the second one, the range is all numbers greater than -6.
