f(x + h) − f(x)

f(x) = 5 − x²

f(x + h) − f(x) = [5 -(x+h)²] - (5-x²) and I should leave this to you to simplify.

 

Hint:(x+h)² is the squaring of a binomial and there must be three resulting terms: x² +2hx + h²
