Gauss' famous formula for the sum of the number from 1 to n is:   n*(n+1)/2
Sum of numbers from 1 to 9 is 9*10/2=45
   Sum of numbers from 1 to 10 is 10*11/2 = 55

So, when would Ecuardo write problem number 1000 ?
