The notation in which I presented the answer is the "nCr" notation for # of distinct COMBINATIONS that one could CHOOSE 2 red card from 26 red cads. Owing to the nature of the question that you submitted, I presumed that your learning would have included the explanation that nCr = n! ÷ ]r!(n-r)!].
In this case, the answer is 26! divided by both 24! and 2! which is 26(25)/2 = 13(25) = 325.
