if 7 squares have the perimeter of 64cm,how long is one side?

I really need help on this question, as I am a teacher for year 8 I need to  know this question in order to teach them. If you are going to ask where I got this question from it was from a book and also the book had no answer and I have checked everywhere on the internet please anyone can you help.

Gfhfbb, I suggest you get a different book.

If you draw 7 squares all in a line (edge to edge), you can see that 16 sides form the perimeter.

64 / 16 = 4

Each side is 4 cm.
