Keller is driving at a speed of 60mph. At noon he sees a sign which says LONGWOOD -52 MILES. If he continues to drive the same speed, how far away will longwood be at 12.20pm?

 

I would really appreciate detailed response as I am not very good with these problems. Thank you in advance.

For 20 min, Keller will drive

20(min)/60(min/ho)•60 (mi/ho) = 20/60•60=20 mi.

 

The question mark above is at point 20 miles after the sign.

So, the distance left to drive is

52 mi - 20 mi = 32 mi.

 

Change the numbers above and try similar problem.
