I don’t understand square of a number, help!

what is the square root of 32 minus the square root of 8?

Kenneth S.

When you seek the SQUARE ROOT of a number, you are seeking another number that, when it is SQUARED (multiplied by itself), you have returned the original number.

You may also learn to use fractional exponents. All students should memorize various integer powers of prime numbers such as two, three, five and seven, up to the fifth power for 3, 5 and 7, and up to the 12th power of 2.n  This is very useful in working with logarithms and exponentials inAlgebra II.
