Find the asymptotes of the graph of the parametric equations x=1/t, y=t/(t+1). 

 

a) x=0, y=0

x=1/t --> t=1/x

replacing it to y=t/(t+1) = (1/x)/(1/x+1) = 1/1+x

The equation has horizontal asymptote at y=0 and vertical asymptote at x=-1 ...(C)
