The tutor gave you a correct solution. For the problem AS STATED,
E = (mc)2
m = 3
c = 6
You have 2 ways to work this:
(1)
E = (mc)2 = (3 x 6)2 = 182 = 324
or
(2)
E = (mc)2 = m2c2 = 3262 = 9x36 = 324
(By the way, I suspect the original equation was really E = mc2, but I worked the problem AS STATED, and so did the other tutor.)
