Hi Plan, light travels about 299,792,458 meters per sec. If you divide this number by 1000, you get kilometers per second. If you divide this number by 3600, you get kilometers per hour.

 

Calculation:

 

Time for signal to reach Voyager 1 = (18,000,000,000 km / (299,792,458 m/sec / 1000 m/km )) / 3600 sec/hr

 

Time for signal to reach Voyager 1 = 16.68 hours.
