What is the x axis? What is the y axis

The machine can stuff a batch of envelopes in 5 hours.  How long would it take the machines to stuff 10 batches of envelopes?  14 batches of envelopes?

I know one equation is 5*10 & other is 14*10 but how you get which axis and where intercept and slope?

So in my case y=5*10=50 hours.  x axis is 5 & y axis is 50?

b = 5h ... or ... y = 5x
y = (5 batches/hour)(10 hours) = 50 batches

Your input, or "x-axis variable" is 10 hours

Your output, or y-axis variable" is 50 batches
of envelopes stuffed.
