evaluate f(x)=x^2-8 for f(x-3)

I need help lol i just don't know how to do this I tried like 10 ways

Plug in (x-3) for x in the function f(x)

f(x) = x^2 - 8

f(x-3) = (x-3)^2 - 8

= (x^2 - 6x + 9) - 8

= x^2 - 6x + 1
