If i am given a piecwise function for f (x) and a functipn like x+1 for g(x) how can i find f (g (x))

STEP 1.  depending on what x value you have, substitute it into the g definition, thus finding the number "g(x)"

 

STEP 2.  Whatever that number (from step 1) is, substitute that into the formula for f.

 

STEP 3.  Celebrate; you're done
