Total number of apples and orange

There was an equal number of apples and oranges in a basket. After 26 apples and 70 oranges were sold, the number of apples become 5 times that of the oranges.
 
a) What is the total number of apples and oranges in the basket at first?
b) If apples were sole at 2 for $1 and oranges were sold in bags of 5 for $2.80, how much was collected from the sales?

f - 26 = 5f - 350
f + 5f = -350 + 26
6f = -324
f = -324/6f
f=-54

F-26 = 5F-350
350-26 - 5F-F
324 = 4F
324/4 = F
81 = F
