Nadia, use the exponentiation button on the toolbar associated with Answering (or Commenting) in order to put exponents up and above the bases, i.e. answer is 12m3n7, making for a nice appearance of factors with exponents!
 
Before typing an exponent, press the "x2" key; after typing an exponent, press the "x2" key again to get back down.

It would also help if the student included parentheses, as the expression may be interpreted more than one way, for example
 
√(144*m6*n14)
 
or
 
√[144*(m6n)14]
 
To be sparing in use of parentheses can lead to ambiguity.
