Use the two given points to calculate slope (m).  Do so carefully, managing signs perfectly. (What you typed is a weird form of double NEGATIVE.)

 

Then use Point slope form, choosing the point (2,5) as (x₁, y₁), and then clean it up into the form y = mx + b, i.e. "solve for y."
