Jan has $37.50. Tickets to a concert cost $5.25 each. How many tickets can Jan buy?

Look at the units.
You have Dollars  and  Dollars per Ticket or  $ and $/T
To find Tickets T you take   $/($/T) = $(T/$) = T
 
You find the number of tickets you can purchase by
dividing the dollars available by the dollars per ticket
37.5/5.25
