Slope intercept

Construct the graph for the following equation: -2x + y = -4. Determine the slope and the y-intercept first and then create the graph.
Do I put this in slope intercept form by adding the 2x to both sides

Note also that you could have determined the slope
and intercept without putting into slope intercept form.

For  ax + by = c, the slope is -a/b

 -2x + y = -4
m = -a/b = 2/1 = 2

y-intercept: set x = 0 and solve for y
(-2)(0) + y = -4
y = -4
y-intercept: (0,-4)

Also:  From  ax + by = c
y-intercept = c/b

-2x + y = -4
c/b = -4/1 = -4
y-intercept: (0, -4)
