Is Real Analysis useful for electrical engineering majors? Is Real Analysis pure math? Can this course be helpful to invent electronic devices for EE majors?

At UML the Real Analysis course description states, “The main focus is given to rigorous proofs rather than computations.” (http://www.uml.edu/Catalog/Courses/graduate/92-501.aspx)
That sounds more like a math major’s course than an engineer’s. In fact, the B.S.E.E. required courses list does not include Real Analysis, http://www.uml.edu/docs/ECE%20Handbook%202013-2014_tcm18-139761.pdf.
The search http://uml.edu/search.aspx?q=Real+Analysis shows Real Analysis as a graduate level course, or as an undergraduate course for Mathematics majors.
OTOH, if you’re good at math and you think you’d get a grade that wouldn’t lower your GPA, go for it. It never hurts to hone thinking and problem solving skills in any intellectual gymnasium.

Yes, it is.
Real analysis is pure math , but used in Electrical Engineering. Electricity is an abstract phenomenon.
Like in Linear Circuit You come out with differential equations. When a resistor , an inductor and a capacitor when is used in a series circuit with a DC voltage applied. The Kirchhoff law is applied yield a differential equation of
E = Rdi/dt + L d2i/dt + 1/ C i
is applied and the current flow in the circuit could be a complex function , or real , which is called
Overdaped, Critical Damped or under-damped depending on the values chosen for R, L, C .
Which determined by the Quadratic Of L S^2 + R S + + 1/c = E
This technique was used in Analogue Computers, before The digital ones.
Quantum mechanics and Solid State physics are all very abstract, and part of the modern Mathematics is developed for use in Quantum mechanics.
