1/16 = 0.0625
3/16 = 0.1875 obtained by adding to the value above 2/16 = 1/8 = 0.1250.
5/16 = 0.3125 "
7/16 = 0.4375 "
et cetera
When I was in grammar school in the 1940s, we students MEMORIZED the decimal equivalents of all proper fractions having denominators 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 16, 20, 25. It was easy, and saved repetitions long divisions (pre-calculator era).

I will add this:
A fraction is nothing more than a division problem.
a
-- = "a divided by b"
b
so now you know how to convert any fraction into a decimal.
