The question has been set up well by what you wrote, but there's really no specific question (objective of work to be done). The question could be, for example, what is the value of the baseball card now in 2016.
You may assume that V(t) = 289ekt and when t=6, v(6) = 483, from which you can find k, through the use of natural logarithms.
I have no doubt that similar problems are in your textbook (or lecture notes, if Common Core has forced good textbooks to be eliminated from your school). Once k is known, you can use the formula for any positive value of t, to find the card's value at that # of years beyond 1980.
